a. Remove O2 sensors, bolts and hangers Remove rear motor mount and motor mount bracket. Support engine with jack. Remove bolts holding in subframe. Using a jack slowly lower the subframe 3-4 inches. Remove exhaust manifold to block bracket. Remove exhaust manifold.
a. If engine has Air Injection, you must remove the drivebelt / tensioner spring and 12mm bolt attaching the air tube to the head.

What is the purpose of the Noise Quick Check?
The purpose of this test procedure is to enable vehicle inspectors to carry out an exhaust noise check with an
acceptable noise meter to ensure that vehicle exhaust systems that have been modified to be noisier than OE remain
well below the maximum noise levels specified in law (ie be below the noise limits specified in the VIRM). Any
vehicle that fails the Noise Quick Check needs to be made quieter and reinspected and/or referred to an LVV certifier
for an Objective Noise Test (ONT).

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Removal
1) Release steering wheel adjustment lever and move steering
wheel up as far as possible. Put gear selector in “N” position. Remove
battery, air cleaner, and air cleaner intake. Remove battery shelf.
2) Remove transmission cable from transmission. Disconnect
electrical connector from transmission. Remove wiring harness and
ground wire clamp on control system cover. Remove clamp from
transmission ventilation hose.
